WATCH ENGLAND V WALES AT THE PIRELLI STADIUM

23 November 2022

AFTER England’s 6-2 win against Iran in the opening World Cup game, all eyes turn to Tuesday’s clash with Wales.

Gareth Bale’s penalty gave Wales a draw in their opening game against USA, which all points to Tuesday’s game being a World Cup classic.

To celebrate, Brewers supporters are invited to a special edition of our regular fan forums with a World Cup theme.

On Tuesday, November 29, we will be screening the England v Wales Group B encounter at the Pirelli Stadium with a special forum before kick-off devoted to the men in the middle making the big decisions.

Burton Albion captain John Brayford and former Premier League assistant referee Roy Burton will enjoy an informal chat with Head of Community Matt Hancock about those controversial decisions on the pitch that are always a huge talking point and fans will be invited to chip in with their views.

Doors open at 5.30pm with the bar open for you to purchase drinks and with the forum starting at 6pm prompt and the game kicking off at 7pm.

Roy will be back at half-time to give his insight on how the ref is handling the game and to discuss any big decisions that have been made.

The forum is a free event, but anyone planning to attend needs to register.

John Brayford said: “I’m looking forward to meeting our fans again and talking about the World Cup and every football fan’s favourite topic … referees. I hope you can come and join us.”
