BURTON Albion are delighted to confirm the signing of former Leeds United forward Bobby Kamwa on a short-term deal.
The 22-year-old has been training with the Brewers over the last few weeks and will be eligible for selection for tomorrow night's game at home to Fleetwood Town, subject to FA approval.
Kamwa adds another forward option for Dino Maamria and joins having left Leeds in the summer, having spent nine years at Thorp Arch and playing for the U23s in the last few seasons.
Last term, Kamwa made seven apperarances on loan at Dunfermline Athletic in Scotland and now joins up with the Brewers.
Manager Dino Maamria is pleased to have got Kamwa in the door, and says he will provide a very versatile forward option.
"Bobby has been training with us for the past two weeks and he's got big potential," said Maamria.
"He plays with energy, he's hard-working, he's strong and he can play in different attacking positions. His versatility is key to us.
"He looks hungry and he's shown that he can add something for us. We're looking forward to having him."
Kamwa says he has enjoyed his time training with the club so far - and was full of praise for how the staff and players at the club have welcomed him so far.
"I'm really delighted to be here," said Kamwa. "I've been chatting to the manager for a while and I think it's the right time for me to come to the club.
"It's been really good - the lads have taken me in well and the facilities have been great, like training at St George's and the stadium, but for me it's the people around the club, that's what stood out to me.
"The aim is to get minutes, play some games, score some goals and help the team get up the table."
Bobby will wear squad number 39 at the Pirelli Stadium. Welcome to Burton Albion, Bobby!
