DANIEL MOORE AND CHARLIE WILLIAMS LEAVE BURTON ALBION

1 February 2023

GOALKEEPER Daniel Moore and midfielder Charlie Williams have left Burton Albion Football Club.

Both Academy graduates have had their contracts cancelled, allowing both the opportunity to find new clubs and regular first-team football.

Moore signed his first professional contract with the Brewers in the summer of 2021, having graduated from our youth team system. The youngster joined our Academy from Bedworth United, where some eye-catching performance persuaded the Brewers to bring him to the club.

Redditch-born Williams signed his first professional contract in 2021 and had arrived at Burton at 15 years of age following seven years in Aston Villa’s youth academy.

Williams was named in a handful of matchday squads for league games and made his professional debut in a 2-1 home defeat to MK Dons in the Papa John’s Trophy last season, while having productive loan spells with the likes of Leamington and Redditch United.

We wish Dan and Charlie all the very best for the future.

Meanwhile, Thierry Latty-Fairweather has returned to National League North side Hereford on loan, where he has also spent the first half of the season.
