SINISALO AND THORPE RETURN TO PARENT CLUBS

3 January 2023

LOAN players Viljami Sinisalo and Elliot Thorpe have returned to their parent clubs, ending their loan spells at Burton Albion.

21-year-old goalkeeper Sinisalo joined the club in the summer from Aston Villa, making 8 appearances in all competitions for the Brewers.

During his time at the club, 21-year-old Sinisalo earned his first senior international call-up to the Finland national side.

Wales Under 21 international Thorpe featured 10 times for the Brewers during his spell at the Pirelli Stadium. The 22-year-old midfielder joined on-loan from Luton Town at the end of the summer transfer window, making just one start in the home defeat against Fleetwood in October.

Dino Maamria confirmed that both players have left the club following the New Year’s Day defeat away at Morecambe.

Burton Albion would like to thank both Viljami and Elliot well for their future careers.
