MATCH PREVIEW: OXFORD UNITED

27 January 2023

AFTER two games postponed due to frozen pitches the Brewers will be eager to get back to action on Saturday, January 28.

The Brewers face Oxford United with the game kicking off at 3pm at the Pirelli Stadium.

With six new signings made by the Brewers this January, Dino Maamria will be hoping to reverse our fortunes from an away defeat in September to the U’s.

DID YOU KNOW?

The reverse fixture In September saw Victor Adeboyejo score his first league goal for the Brewers although his well-taken strike was only a consolation in the 2-1 defeat.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Since we were promoted to the Football League in 2009, the Brewers have played Oxford United 21 times but have only won six with the U’s  having been victorious nine times and with six games having been drawn. Oxford’s record against the Brewers has been steadily improving with Albion having lost only one of the first seven meetings but not having won any in the last seven games.

FAMILY ZONE

Our regular Family Zone will be back in operation for this game starting 90 minutes before kick-off and is open to home and away supporters.

Come and try out football, archery, inflatable fun, colouring and much more on the 3G pitch and inside the community building.

There is plenty more information for young fans on the club website such as the history of the club, how to become a mascot and fun things to do such as our autograph and colouring sheets which you can download now - click here to visit our Family Section!
