GASSAN AHADME RETURNS TO BURTON ALBION ON LOAN

31 January 2023

BURTON Albion can confirm that forward Gassan Ahadme has re-signed on-loan from Ipswich Town until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old joined the Brewers in January 2022 from Norwich City, scoring 5 goals in 19 appearances, before joining Ipswich for an undisclosed fee in September.

Ahadme has featured 8 times since joining the Tractor Boys, scoring once in the FA Cup at home against Buxton FC.

On the return of Gassan, Brewers manager Dino Maamria, said: “Obviously he had a brilliant spell with us at the start of the season and he got his move to Ipswich.

“We know him, he knows us – he thrived in our environment and he’s also brilliant in our dressing room.

“He will bring us something different to what we already have in the building and I’m sure he’ll pick up where he left off!”

On returning to the club, Ahadme said: “It’s brilliant to be back and I’m really looking forward to playing and helping the team.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time since joining Ipswich, but ultimately, I need to play games and coming back to Burton for the remainder of the season will help me to continue with my development.

“I’m fortunate to be in the hands of two great clubs - I can’t wait to see everyone and to get back going again.”
