TERRY TAYLOR JOINS CHARLTON FOR AN UNDISCLOSED FEE

26 July 2023

TERRY Taylor has joined Charlton Athletic after agreeing a deal to take him to the Valley.

The midfielder was out of contract with the Brewers but due to his age Burton Albion will receive an undisclosed fee for the player.

Taylor joined Burton Albion on February 1 2021 from Wolves on a permanent deal but suffered an ankle injury during a game at Fleetwood last February that kept him out of action for the rest of the season.

Brewers manager Dino Maamria said: “Terry hasn’t been able to play since his injury but has been working hard on his fitness. He was out of contract this summer, but we tried to retain his services. A lot of other clubs were interested in Terry, and he received an attractive offer from Charlton that he has accepted so we thank him and wish him well.

“We obviously don’t like to lose good  players but at Burton Albion we help bring on young footballers and develop them while they are here, and they leave better footballers. That’s the football club we are and young players will want to come here as they will see that.”
