BURTON Albion have been drawn in the same group as Nigel Clough’s Mansfield Town in the EFL Trophy.
It’s the first-time the Brewers have been scheduled to play the Stags since Clough took over at Field Mill in 2020.
Mansfield missed out on the play-offs last season on goal difference by a single goal.
Nigel Clough was voted in the club’s Hall of Fame by Brewers supporters in May.
Also joining Albion and Mansfield in Northern Group H are Doncaster Rovers who finished 18th in League Two last season.
Rovers are managed by former Northern Ireland international Grant McCann.
The fourth team in the group will be a Premier League Under 21 side with the draw taking place tomorrow at 11.30am on Sky Sports.
Teams will play each other once. The Brewers will be at home twice – to the Under 21 side and to either Doncaster or Mansfield.
