WYCOMBE WANDERERS (H) TO BE BURTON ALBION'S NEXT WOMEN AND GIRLS' TAKEOVER GAME

8 March 2023

BURTON Albion's home clash with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, March 11 will be our latest Women and Girls' Takeover event!

More than 80 players from our girls teams and Community Trust programmes will be in attendance for the Wycombe game this weekend (3pm kick-off), taking part in a walk round the Pirelli Stadium pitch at half-time.

They will be joined by members of our women's first team and development side - who will also be attending our pre-match Family Zone over at the Burton Albion Community Football Centre from 1.45pm.

Our players will be taking part in activities and games with families and young Brewers fans ahead of kick-off and are looking forward to meeting even more of our fans, following our successful home clash with Coundon Court a few weeks ago.

Brewers fans will also be able to find out more about our women's and girls teams in our programme, the Matchday Brewer, available on matchdays for just £3.

As part of the day, we will also be reaffirming our support for Her Game Too - the campaign to eradicate sexist abuse from football grounds.

Burton Albion women's first team captain Amber-Leigh Denny said: "It was an incredible moment to meet so many fans against Coundon Court a few weeks ago, and we're excited to be meeting more Brewers fans on Saturday.

"The girls love heading to the Family Zone to take part in all the fun and activities, and we're really excited to see everyone in the ground as well.

"It's going to be a great occasion."

The club will be handing control of our Instagram account to centre-half Charlotte Jarvis on the day, so make sure to follow @officialburtonalbion and view our Story on Saturday!
