FANS URGED TO BUY PORT VALE FA CUP REPLAY TICKETS TO PREVENT WEST STAND FROM CLOSURE

10 November 2023

BURTON Albion’s Don Amott (West) Stand will be closed for next Tuesday evening’s FA Cup Replay at home to Port Vale if ticket sales remain low.

Albion host the Valliants at the Pirelli Stadium, with a 7.45pm kick off on Tuesday, November 14, and if numbers don’t increase significantly then the club will be forced to only open the North Stand terracing for home fans.

Supporters can purchase terrace tickets in advanced at just £10 for adults and £5 for over 65s and U17s. Sadly, as it stands, disappointing figures mean that it is likely that the West Stand will be closed.

Brewers Chairman Ben Robinson said: “We want to make our supporters aware of the current disappointing ticket sales and situation that we find ourselves in.

“We will be left with no choice but to close the West Stand if ticket sales don’t notably rise - it’s not economical for the club to open the stand otherwise.

“We always aim to keep all home sections of the ground open for all fixtures at the Pirelli Stadium if possible. I’m sure our fans will understand if we have to do this.

“It’s an FA Cup Replay and our fans know how important this competition is for us. We want as many fans to come as possible to try and help cheer on the team to the next round!”

If this happens Brewers fans who have already bought tickets for the Don Amott (West) Stand can have a refund or simply transfer to the Raygar (North Stand). If you wish to transfer, you would simply use your existing ticket.
