TOM HAMER AND JASPER MOON ATTEND COMMUNITY TRUST’S PREMIER LEAGUE KICKS SESSION

11 October 2023

BURTON Albion defenders Jasper Moon and Tom Hamer attended a Premier League Kicks session in Winshill.

Premier League Kicks is a free session operated by Burton Albion Community Trust and uses the power of football to connect with young people in some of the most high-need areas of the UK.

BACT operates sessions all over Burton and the surrounding areas with the aim of engaging with children aged 8-18.

The Brewers’ defenders got straight into a game of football on the M.U.G.A (Multi Use Games Area) at Winshill Neighbourhood Resource Centre. Despite the small playing area, it didn’t stop the game from having plenty of players on each team.

Moon and Hamer played in goals for their respective sides and put in strong displays, with the game finishing 2-1.

At the conclusion of the session, both were more than happy to sign autographs and pose for photos with the thrilled participants.

Brewers defender Tom Hamer said: “I’ve really enjoyed myself tonight. It took me back to playing football as a child on a concrete pitch with plenty of players on each team and only finishing when it was too dark to play! I’m glad that the session has such a positive impact on their lives.”

BACT Premier League Kicks Coordinator Sam Thomas said: “The participants loved having Tom and Jasper down tonight and I’m confident that they had a good time too. This session means so much to the families and children who attend and we try our best to make a difference every time they’re with us.”
