BURTON Albion will play SkyBet League One side Port Vale in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The Brewers beat the Valiants at Vale Park earlier in the 2023/24 League One season, but lost in the last FA Cup meeting in December 2021.
Brewers manager Dino Maamria says despite the victory last time out against Vale, the FA Cup is a completely different situation.
"The FA Cup is an exciting journey and to start with a derby game is very exciting. We've been to Vale Park already and know what it has to offer.
"It's going to be a tough game. They've got some very good players and can hurt any team.
"It's an exciting start and more importantly it's going to be brilliant for both sets of fans and we can't wait" he said.
The match will take place on the weekend of 3-6 November with ticket details to be confirmed.
