BURTON Albion has signed defender Tolaji Bola on loan from Rotherham United until the end of the season.
The wing-back, who can play on either the left or right side, will provide competition for places in the defensive areas.
The 25 year-old signed for Arsenal's academy aged seven before signing his first professional contract in January 2016.
He enjoyed a spell on loan at Rochdale in October 2020 before signing permanently for Rotherham United in the summer of 2021.
Bola spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Bradford City. He has represented England at under-17 and 18 level respectively.
After signing, Bola said: "It feels brilliant to be here and I can't wait to get started. I'm really looking forward to getting on the pitch and helping the team have a successful end to the season.
"I'm a wing-back who likes to do both, go forward and to help the attack as well as doing my defensive work. I always give my best on the pitch and I love a tackle as well.
"I spoke to the gaffer a couple of days ago and he laid out how he wants his players' to play and what he expects and it's all stuff I really stand by and I'm buzzing to get going."
Brewers Manager Martin Paterson said: "Tolaji will add extra quality to the squad and will provide competition, mainly down the left-hand side.
"We hope that he can be a brilliant addition to the squad for the rest of the season."
Welcome, Tolaji!
