MUSTAPHA Carayol has extended his contract with Burton Albion until the end of the season.
The winger signed a six-month deal in the summer which was due to expire this month, but manager Martin Paterson has moved to extend the deal until the close of the current campaign.
The 35-year-old has featured 25 times this season for the Brewers and Paterson says he is delighted to secure his services for the remainder of the season.
"Muzzy is a really important member of the group," said Paterson.
"We've not only extended his deal because of the ability he gives us on the pitch, but also for what he brings off it. We love the energy and experience that he has, as well as the leadership qualities that he brings."
