THE Brewers return to the Pirelli Stadium for a game against one of the promotion-chasing teams.

Peterborough United are League One’s top scorers and are currently sitting in the play-off places and still hoping for automatic promotion.

Burton Albion v Peterborough takes place Saturday, March 9, with a 3pm kick off.

Burton Albion’s epic FA Cup run of 2005/2006 that ended with two games against Manchester United also featured a First Round victory over Peterborough with Shaun Harrad scoring the only goal in a replay at the Pirelli Stadium on November 16, 2005.

The two clubs have played each other 11 times In League One since 2015. Albion have won three, drawn three and lost five, with the last defeat coming when the two teams met in November when Posh won 4-0.

We are turning the spotlight on our girls’ and women’s football programme on Saturday.

You can see girls from the Emerging Talent Centre taking on Peterborough on the 3G pitch before the men’s game kicks off. The flag bearers will also be from our girls’ teams and there will be a walk round the pitch at half-time as well as a special focus in the match day programme.

Our regular Family Zone will be in operation for this game, now starting two hours before kick-off and it is open to home and away supporters.

Come and try out football, archery, inflatable fun, colouring and much more on the 3G pitch and inside the community building.

There is plenty more information for young fans on the club website such as the history of the club, how to become a mascot and fun things to do such as our autograph and colouring sheets which you can download now - click here to visit our Family Section!
