FEMALE FOOTBALL FOCUS - IMAGE GALLERY

11 March 2024

SATURDAY’S home game against Peterborough saw the cub and community trust put girls and women in the spotlight.

Following on from International Women’s Day on Friday we were able to recognise the significant female contribution to all that goes on at the Pirelli Stadium.

It was also our official Her Game Too dedicated fixture – supporting this voluntary campaign led by a team of dedicated female football fans who are passionate about creating a positive change in football and the wider sporting world.

On the 3G pitch before the men’s game kicked off, our Emerging Talent Centre played a game against Peterborough and our women’s first team players joined fans at the pre-match Family Zone.

Members of our girls’ teams and Wildcats projects took on flag bearing duties, a half time pitch walk and played on the pitch at half-time.

There was also a special focus on the women’s first team in the programme and female players took over the PA to announce the men’s teams.

Charlotte Jarvis, women’s first team captain, said: “It was great to see the girls' and women's game put in the spotlight and to see so many young supporters at The Family Zone.

“Thanks to everyone for their support at what was our Her Game Too fixture as well.

“The women's team are having a great season and I hope to now see a few more people cheering us on.”
