CRAIG MacGillivray signed for Burton Albion in January 2023, bringing a wealth of Sky Bet League One experience to the Brewers ranks.
MacGillivray began his career with Harrogate Railway and Harrogate Town, making close to 100 appearances in National League North before joining Walsall in 2014, making 19 appearances for the Saddlers before opting to join Shrewsbury Town in 2017, spending a season at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
It was a subsequent move to Portsmouth that would give MacGillivray the first team football he wanted - going on to make 112 League One appearances over three years, 135 in total, saving a vital shootout penalty as Pompey won the 2019 Papa Johns Trophy at Wembley and winning their Player of the Season award in 2020/21.
After three years in Portsmouth, MacGillivray, who was called up to the senior Scotland squad in 2019, opted to switch to another League One club in Charlton, where he quickly established himself as number one.
