After missing most of the 2014/15 season with an ankle problem he completed his recover towards the end of the 15/16 season with a loan spell back at Coventry City helping him prove his fitness.

After being released by Cardiff Ben was quickly snapped up by Brewers boss Nigel Clough who made him his first signing ahead of Albion's first season in the Championship on an initial one-year deal and having proved that his injury problems are behind him was a key member of the side to commit his future to the club once more.
