Damien McCrory joined the club from Dagenham & Redbridge in 2012 under then manager Gary Rowett.
McCrory who represented Republic of Ireland under 18's and 19's was a product of the Plymouth Argyle academy.
Two loan spells at Port Vale helped give him first-team experience as well as a loan spell at Grimsby Town before joining Dagenham in 2010.
He quickly established himself as the clubs first choice left back and set up a goal in the play-off final which saw them beat Rotherham 3-2.
In June 2012 after deciding not to stay at Dagenham following their relegation into League Two he joined the Brewers to provide competition for Aaron Webster.
He scored his first goal for the side against former club Dagenham in a 3-2 win. In the season under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink where the Brewers gained promotion from League Two Damien scored five goals.
He made 41 appearances for the Brewers as they secured back-to-back promotions at left-back.
McCrory signed a new two-year deal in June 2016.
