Date of birth
Skipper John Mousinho began his professional career with Brentford and joined the Brewers in 2014. A central midfielder by trade who moved to centre-back by former Brewers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Mousinho joined Brentford after a spell at Notre Dam University in the United States. Mousinho played 64 times for the Bees and scored three goals under manager Martin Allen.
After Brentford he moved to Wycombe Wanderers where he enjoyed a two year spell before moving onto Stevenage.
At Stevenage who at the time were recently promoted to League One he played 57 times scoring ten goals.
After two years at Broadhall Way he moved to Preston North End to be reunited with former manager Graham Westley who named him captain.
Mousinho was released by new manager Simon Grayson after the side failed to get promotion in 2014.
He joined the Brewers in League Two when Gary Rowett was delighted to land his number one target. He skippered the side to the League Two title and the following promotion to League One.
In his debut Championship season he played 32 times.
