Brewers signed goalkeeper Connor Ripley on loan from fellow Championship side Middlesbrough in August 2017 on a season-long-loan.
Ripley, joined Boro in 2009 following a spell at Blackburn Rovers. He made his debut in 2011 after coming on for Jason Steele in a 5-2 defeat against Reading.
He is the son of former Middlesbrough and Blackburn winger Stuart Ripley who was capped for England twice and played over 500 games.
In March 2014, he went on loan to Swedish side Ostersunds FK where he played 14 times in the Swedish Premier Division.
In 2015, this time he moved to Scotland on loan with Motherwell where he played 36 games throughout the season.
A loan move beckoned again for Connor and this time a spell with League One side Oldham Athletic. Connor kept 18 clean sheets during his season-long-loan a club record and saw him named in the League One side of the season.
Ripley arrives at the Pirelli with plenty to prove and made his debut in the Carabao Cup against Oldham.
