In On Loan
from Leeds United

Conor Shaughnessy

Date of birth

Republic of Ireland

Signing for the Brewers in January 2020, Conor came in on loan from Championship club Leeds United.

With a view to a permanent deal, the versatile defender / midfielder can hold a host of different positions. From playing across anywhere in the back four, as well as in a holding midfield role, Shaughnessy brings both cover and a good starting option.

Starting his career at Reading, the Irishman moved to Leeds United and made appearances with their under-23 outfit before moving on loan to Hearts in the Scottish Premiership during the 2018-19 season. A return to England saw him move out on loan in the summer of 2019 to League Two side Mansfield Town, before returning to parent club Leeds in the winter of that campaign. From here, Shaughnessy made a move to the Pirelli Stadium and will be playing League One football for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
