Date of birth
After spending all of his career in Scotland, David opted to move south to join Albion on a two-year deal in July 2018.
David started his career with Stenhousemuir, catching the eye of Heart Of Midlothian after only two years at Ochilview. Whilst at Tynecastle, he spent a spell on loan with Raith Rovers as well as being nominated for PFA Player of the Year in 2010-11 and being named Fans’ Player of the Year. David also, memorably, scored for Hearts in the Europa League against Liverpool at Anfield in 2012. Shortly afterwards he was snapped up by Rangers, where he spent four seasons, scoring 21 times in 69 appearances for the Ibrox club, before injury disrupted his final year with the club. David joined Hamilton in March 2017, initially on a short-term deal before extending his stay, scoring nine times in 30 appearances. Having long been an admirer of David’s attacking talents, Nigel Clough moved swiftly to sign him and give him a break in English football at the start of the 2018-19 season.
