Jackson Irvine joined the club for a 'club record fee' in July 2016 from Scottish side Ross County.

Jackson Burton Albion's player of the year in 2016/2017 on his debut season made an instant impact on the side from central midfield.

An Australia international who started his career at Celtic but failed to make the impact he hoped for so joined Kilmarnock and Ross County on loan deals. 

He joined Ross County on a permanent deal for a development fee from Celtic and after one season joined the Brewers.

Irvine made his debut for the Brewers against Bristol City and scored just three days later against Sheffield Wednesday. That marked the start of an impressive goalscoring run where he scored four in six games including a winning goal against Derby County at the Pirelli.

Irvine picked up players player of the season, fans player of the season and top goal scorer with his ten goals helping the Brewers to secure Championship survival.

Irvine scored his first international goal in March 2017 against the UAE and currently has 10 caps for the Socceroos.
