An exciting and attacking midfielder, 20-year-old Martin arrived at the Pirelli Stadium in January 2018 on loan from Premier League side West Ham United.
A full Norwegian international with three caps for the senior side and one goal, Martin started out with the academy at Vard Haugesund attracting interest from both Chelsea and Real Madrid before joining Manchester City and spending three years in their academy set-up.
Moving to West Ham in 2015 a senior debut quickly followed as a substitute in the Europa League. A loan spell at League One side Peterborough United was extended from an original one-month deal to a season long stay after Martin impressed in his early Posh appearances.
Last season saw Martin at Blackburn Rovers in the early months of the season but after a lack of first team opportunities at Ewood Park and a return to West Ham it was Peterborough again who offered more first team opportunities.
Having tried to sign the prodigiously talented youngster before, Nigel Clough eventually managed to bring Martin to Burton for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign.
