A VERSATILE performer, Michael is equally at home either at centre-back or in a defensive midfield role where his height and strength make him a formidable opponent.
Originally on the books of Millwall, Michael spent his formative years on loan in non-league with Crawley Town, Rushden & Diamonds and Ebbsfleet United. Michael’s real breakthrough came at Stevenage Borough where he was an FA Trophy winner and was also instrumental in Borough’s rise into the Football League in 2010. His reputation was further enhanced as Stevenage won the League Two play-offs.
After four years at Broadhall Way Michael moved to Championship side Peterborough United going on to stay five years at London Road and making over 200 Posh appearances. Three years at Lincoln City followed where Michael helped the Imps to the League Two title and also an EFL Trophy win.
Released in the summer of 2020 he was one of Jake Buxton’s keynote signings for Albion establishing himself as a key part of the Brewers defence.
