Date of birth
COMFORTABLE either in central defence or midfield Michael is a highly experienced campaigner having played in Germany and America and the top two divisions of English football.
A prodigious talent at Chelsea having joined their youth set-up at the age of nine, Michael signed professional terms with the Blues in 2006 but only playing four league games for them.
Impressive loan spells with QPR and Wolves saw plenty of clubs take note with Bundesliga side SV Hamburg paying a seven-figure fee to take Michael to Germany in 2011.
After three years with Hamburg a return to England beckoned with Nottingham Forest paying another seven-figure fee to bring him back to the Championship where he made over a century of appearances over four years at the City Ground.
A move to America followed with New England but a desire to return to England towards the end of 2020 saw Michael sign for his old Chelsea colleague Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in February 2021 and proving to me a valued and versatile member of the side.
