Burton Albion Women and Girls were founded as Burton Albion Ladies FC was founded in May 2000 with a single under-12 girls' team.
The following year, we added a senior team playing in the inaugural season of the newly formed Staffordshire County Women's League.
After a few seasons at that level, and the addition of more junior teams, they had three promotions in four seasons - 2013/14, 2015/16 & 2016/17 - and also claimed three Regional Cup winners titles while playing in the West Midlands Regional Women's League.
The Brewers have spent the last few seasons playing in the FA Women's National League, competing in Division One Midlands for the 2021/22 season - the fourth tier of English football.
The club was completely merged with Burton Albion Football Club and Burton Albion Community Trust in 2019/20 - and we now have our senior Women's First Team and a brand new Development Squad for 2022/23 along with junior girls teams from Wildcats to Under 18 girls.
