Burton Albion were founded as Burton Albion Ladies FC was founded in May 2000 with a single under-12 girls' team.
The following year, we added a senior team playing in the inaugural season of the newly formed Staffordshire County Women's League.
After a few seasons at that level, and the addition of more junior teams, they had three promotions in four seasons - 2013/14, 2015/16 & 2016/17 - and also claimed three Regional Cup winners titles while playing in the West Midlands Regional Women's League.
The Brewers now play in the FA Women's National League, competing in Division One Midlands for the 2021/22 season - the fourth tier of English football.
Our best season in this league so far was 2017/18, when we finished runner-up and had the league's top goalscorer.
The club was completely merged with Burton Albion Football Club and Burton Albion Community Trust in 2019/20 - and we now have our senior women's team along with junior girls teams from Wildcats to Under 18 girls.
