MATT Palmer joined Burton Albion's Academy after being released by Derby County at a young age, and won the award for most improved young player at the end of his first season as a scholar.
A central midfielder who is confident on the ball, Palmer would make his Burton Albion debut as a late substitute in an FA Cup first round win over Altrincham in 2012, before making his league debut the following April, again as a substitute, away at Port Vale.
Palmer would go on to make 159 appearances for the Brewers, playing games in League Two, League One and the Championship, before moving to Rotherham United in 2018.
Earlier this summer, Palmer signed for Notts County on a two-year deal.
