EXCHANGE YOUR BIKE FOR TICKETS ON SATURDAY

14 October 2014

New Community scheme encouraging bike donations

During October Half Term, Burton Albion Community Trust will be delivering the Police Crime Commissioner funded Recycle Project at Anglesey Academy Primary School for children aged 10-11 years. The programme will work with a number of schools across Burton that will help impact over 80 children across the next 12 months.

At Burton Albion’s home match against Morecambe this Saturday on 18th October, fans will be given the chance to donate junior bikes in exchange for 1 adult and 1 child ticket for an upcoming fixture. Your details will be taken on the day and contacted the following week to decide on the fixture you would like to attend. To donate a bike you will need to assemble by the BACT Van which will be situated outside the West Bar between 2.00pm and 3.00 pm.

The programme is delivered by qualified Bike experts alongside Burton Albion Community Trust staff in partnership with the Staffordshire Police.
Dan Brooks, Social Inclusion Officer stated “Children are given the opportunity to refurbish bikes, as well as learn vital skills such as fixing a puncture, changing brakes and road safety. We also aim to build trust levels with the police as well as improving behaviour of the children within both school and community environments.”

Please contact Dan Brooks 07946538809 or email danbact@burtonalbionfc.co.uk for further details on the day.
