PALMER: THE HARD WORK STARTS AGAIN

20 October 2014

Matty Palmer discusses Saturdays defeat to Morecambe.

On Saturdays Performance:

"We didn't get going for any part of the game and they've scored from two set-pieces, which is disappointing.

"It's just one of those games, where we've just not turned up.

"We've got to make sure we turn up on Tuesday and get the right result."

On John Mousinho's Injury During The Warm Up:

"It shouldn't affect us as Shane (Cansdell-Sherriff) and Sharpsy (Ian Sharps) have played a couple of seasons together, so you can't really blame the performance on that.

"We haven't turned up today and we must do better."

On The Gaffers Reaction:

"The gaffer was disappointed, as where we and we know we can play better.

"We've got more to give."

On His Performance:

"I was happy to get on the pitch and start, but I know I can do better.

"I think any of us would say they could have done better, but we've got to work harder in training and produce on Tuesday.

"I like to get on the ball in deeper positions, but I also like to join attacks and set up one-twos around the box.

"Wherever the gaffer puts me I'm happy."

On Two Tough Away Games This Week:

"They're long difficult trips, but we've got to take maximum points to keep where we are in the table.

"The hard work starts again."
