KYREIGH'SKAUSE TO HOLD COLLECTION AHEAD OF LUTON GAME

21 November 2014

A raffle and collection will take place ahead of Saturday's game with Luton Town for Kyreigh'sKause.

Five year old Kyreigh O’Regan, from Uttoxeter, has cerebral palsy and needs daily physiotherapy. He falls over regularly and has to wear a helmet at school and have a carer with him at all times.

His mother Sasha has been trying to raise £65,000 for an operation that is only available in the USA. She hopes it will enable her son to walk unaided, freeing him from the need to use a wheelchair and the prospect of a life of pain.

Local sports clubs have been among those who have already helped raise more than three quarters of the money needed for the operation in St Louis, Missouri. A ball at Uttoxeter racecourse earlier this month raised more than £16,000.

There will be a collection at today’s game for Kyreigh’sKause – the charity set up to help him.

Two of Uttoxeter’s best-known charitable organisations, the Lions and Rotary Clubs, joined forces to run the raffle, which is being drawn at half-time. Prizes include a holiday in Tenerife, family tickets with hotel accommodation for a visit to Chessington World of Adventures, and six months membership of Gym & Tonic in Uttoxeter.

The organisers of the appeal are grateful for the opportunity to make the draw at the Pirelli Stadium and are hoping Brewers and Hatters fans will help push the total even nearer the target. Please give generously to members of the Lions and Rotary Clubs collecting around the ground.
