MOUSINHO LOOKING FORWARD TO PRESTON CLASH

24 November 2016

CAPTAIN John Mousinho is looking forward to going back to Deepdale, when the Brewers take on Preston North End this Saturday.

“It’s always a nice occasion to go back to an old team, it always gives the game something extra personally.I very much enjoyed my time there, a lot of the lads I played with there are still at the club and so is their manager. When I left the club I didn’t think I’d be returning as a Championship player, you forget sometimes how lucky you are to be a professional footballer.”

Mousinho who played 32 times for the Lancashire outfit is expecting a tough game:

“I think they’ve done very well this season, they’re a tough side to play against that’s for sure. They are the sort of team that we should be looking to emulate in a way, they’re a settled team that survived relegation last season and now this season look like they’re going to be towards the top of the table.”

Mousinho also spoke of the importance of getting the first goal away from home: “We have had some good performances away from home and not took our chances. If we get the first goal, then we are sure teams will play a different game against us.”
