ALBION TO FACE BRADFORD RESERVES THIS AFTERNOON

8 September 2015

BURTON Albion reserves will travel to Valley Parade this afternoon to face Bradford Reserves in the Final Third Development League.

The match will KO at 2PM with the JCT600 Main Stand will be open on an unreserved basis.

The Brewers Reserves lost last time out against Wrexham which was played at the home of Mickleover Sports.

A penalty save from Dean Lyness wasn’t enough to bring the Brewers at least a point.

Burton Albion development squad manager Neill Hornby feels that the strong relationship between the first team and academy will be integral in his younger players development.

“It’s massive, it is massive, especially for this club to bring our own players through.

“As you know I work with the first team on a day to day basis and I bridge the gap between that side and the under 21s so it is absolutely huge.

“As you can see today the gaffer (Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink) and Dave (Oldfield) were here watching and they take interest. They will want a full debrief of the game.”
