GAFFER LOOKS FOR ALBION TO REPEAT ROCHDALE PERFORMANCE

16 September 2015

JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink is looking for his Albion team to build on what he sees as their most consistent performance of the season so far when they travel to Swindon on Saturday.

The Brewers travel to the County Ground to face a Swindon side who are looking to bounce back from a 4-1 defeat against Barnsley.

Hasselbaink will be looking for another complete 90-minute performance from his team.

The Brewers boss says: “Against Rochdale that was our most consistent performance this season - definitely. I think we were organised, disciplined.

“We had to change a few things from Coventry and the boys who came in did their jobs and made it very difficult for Rochdale. We won the ball back where we wanted to win it back and created opportunities. We did hurt them at times, especially in the first half.

“We didn’t want Rochdale to have too much of the initiative, especially not in our half. We knew there would be stages when they would be in our half but by minimalising that it would work better for us.

“By winning the ball back in their half we could hurt them a little bit more.”

Albion will hope to show the same qualities against Swindon, who are currently eighth in League One, four points behind the Brewers.

Hasselbaink says: “You need to be organised and together and to work on the discipline, if you don’t do that, you will not be successful.”
