FACTS and figures relating to the 2023/24 season from Tony Bentley

The Brewers used 39 different players in their 46 league games.

Joe Powell started 44 of the 46 league games this season, the most of all players. He also moved to 163 Football League appearances for the club, putting him fourth in the all-time list.

Goalkeeper Max Crocombe was the only other player to make more than 40 league starts, making 42 league starts.

At the other end of the scale, Jonathan Leko played the least number of minutes for the club in the league, after being injured with a season ending injury just 5 minutes into his debut at Cambridge United.

Finn Delap’s 19 minutes from two substitute appearances, were the next least number of minutes on the pitch of the 39 players who played in the league this season.

Mustapha Carayol became the first Albion player to make 50 Football League appearances, with the majority as a substitute.

Mason Bennett’s fifth minute goal against Reading in the 45th match of the season, was the earliest goal they scored in the league.

The Brewers completed a league double (home and away victories) against Bristol Rovers.

Both the highest home and away attendances this season were recorded against Derby County. A crowd of 6,410 saw the home game on Saturday 12th August 2023, and a crowd of 25,580 saw the game at Pride Park on Monday 15th January 2024.

The lowest home crowd came on Tuesday 27th February 2024, when 2,247 saw the 1-0 defeat to Carlisle United. The lowest away crowd of the season came on Saturday 19th August 2023, when 4,024 saw the 0-0 draw at Wycombe Wanderers.

The average home league attendance at the Pirelli Stadium this season was 3,419. This was 26 down on the average for the 2022/23 season.
